In each edition, the LinguaSOUTH Forum focuses on a specific country, region, theme, or sociolinguistic and cultural reality, in alignment with the objectives of the Chair. Conceived as a forum for languages, cultures, and societies with a special focus on Africa, this initiative consolidates a fundamental part of the legacy of the Erasmus+ BAQONDE project (2021–2024), which highlighted the linguistic diversity of South Africa (2022), Senegal (2023), Mozambique (2024), and Equatorial Guinea (2025). In this new phase, through a more cross-cutting approach open to broader society, the initiative promotes ongoing dialogue and mutual learning, giving voice and prominence to the culture, speakers, and experts of the Global South.
