Within the framework of the Day of African Languages (2025), dedicated to Equatorial Guinea, a tribute was paid to Prof. Justo Bolekia for his academic career and outstanding contributions to the defense of the indigenous languages of Equatorial Guinea. In the presence of professors, students, and representatives from Casa África, Mujeres por África, and ACESDA, he was presented with a biographical tribute created especially for the occasion, following his presentation entitled “Languages and Power in Equatorial Guinea.” From the LinguaSOUTH Chair, we can only join in celebrating his career and work to continue collaborating in this new stage.
